Review and clear local support history
Understand what the conversation stores in this browser and what clearing does.
Before you start
- Open support with messages in local history.
Step by step
Scroll the conversation to read stored questions and replies. After reloading, the local copy can be restored.
To remove that copy from the screen and local storage, use Clear the conversation. The action has no confirmation.
Check the text field: a typed draft remains, although pending attachments are removed.
Check your result
The local conversation becomes empty and suggested questions return.
What you need to know
- Up to 40 messages are stored, with text, image count and handoff indicator. This component does not synchronize history across devices.
- Clearing does not request deletion from the remote support service. Wait for ongoing sends before clearing, since a later reply can reappear.
- History uses a common browser key and is not separated by account in this component. On a shared browser, clear the local copy when finished.
