Understand the current effect of Pause
Status changes and automatic list/segment enrollment is no longer selected.
Before you start
- Use an account with Email Marketing enabled and access to the records. Changes require write permission.
Step by step
Open the automation and verify the flow.
Click Pause to change its status.
Reopen the page to inspect the saved state.
If you need to stop sends for existing enrollments, request operational review from the owner; do not rely solely on the Paused badge.

What you need to know
- Current-code limitation: advancement selects active enrollments without checking automation status; enrolled contacts may continue even when the flow is Paused.
- The UI also treats a partial response as a complete record; reopening may be necessary.
- The Automations list also offers the card button; the same partial-response limitation applies.
