Load a CSV for contact import

Step by step

   Open Import contacts > Upload CSV file.

   Choose a file containing names and emails.

3. 3

   Review the lines appended to the text field and correct names before confirming.

   Choose an optional list and click Import contacts.

What you need to know

• The parser detects commas, semicolons or tabs, identifies a formatted email and uses another field as the name.
• There is no column mapper. Extra fields, attributes and phones are not imported through this flow; multiline CSV cells are not fully handled.
• Loading a file appends to existing text.
• The picker also accepts plain-text .txt files. The same parser converts content into lines for review; accepting the extension does not guarantee correct name and email detection.
