Turn notification sound on or off
Choose whether local notifications should play a sound.
Before you start
- Use the browser that will receive notifications.
Step by step
Open Settings > Notifications.
Toggle the sound control on or off. You can also use the sound icon at the top of the bell panel.
Check the button state.
Check your result
The sound preference is stored in this browser.
What you need to know
- Turning sound off does not itself disable visual notifications. The browser and operating system may also restrict audio.
