Reduce the contracted number quantity
Adjust the paid quantity while respecting numbers in use.
Before you start
- Use the account responsible for the subscription, with access to Subscription in a browser.
- Have an active or trialing card-managed subscription.
Step by step
Check how many numbers are in use and which ones you still need.
In Subscription > Contracted numbers, select the new quantity, starting at one.
Click Update and check the result.
If the page says usage exceeds the requested limit, review the numbers before trying to reduce again.
Check your result
The quantity decreases when the new limit is accepted.
What you need to know
- The system prevents reductions below counted usage, subtracting any valid complimentary allowance from the paid minimum.
- Reducing quantity is different from canceling the subscription.
- Do not delete an instance merely to test a reduction; that changes your real operation.
- The page may stop showing the loading indicator without displaying the server rejection. Reload and check the quantity actually saved; if it has not changed, contact support rather than assuming the update was accepted.
