Enable two-factor authentication
Link an authenticator app to your login.
Before you start
- Be in your own account, know the password and have an authenticator app.
Step by step
Open My account > Two-factor authentication.
Enter your current password and click Enable.
Scan the QR code with the authenticator app or enter the displayed secret manually.
Enter the code generated by the app and click Confirm.
Store the displayed recovery codes before selecting I have saved them.
Check your result
Two-factor authentication becomes active after the code is confirmed.
What you need to know
- Displaying the QR code does not finish activation. Pending setup expires after ten minutes; start again if necessary.
- The change invalidates other sessions; this dialog receives an updated session after success.
- Do not include the QR code, secret, password or recovery codes in demonstration recordings.
- If the dialog says two-factor authentication is unavailable, the platform configuration must be enabled before you can activate it.
