Generate new recovery codes
Replace the previous set and review how many remain.
Before you start
- Have two-factor authentication enabled, your current password and a valid authenticator or recovery code.
Step by step
Open My account > Two-factor authentication and check the remaining-code count.
Enter your current password and a valid code.
Click Generate new recovery codes.
Store the new set and confirm that it has been saved. Discard the old copy.
Check your result
The new set replaces the previous recovery codes.
What you need to know
- Old recovery codes stop working. This change also refreshes your session and invalidates other sessions.
