Recognize installation setup
Setup creates the first administrator for a previously empty installation.
Before you start
- Use this flow only as the authorized operator of a new installation without an administrator. For a regular account, use registration.
Step by step
Open /setup and wait for the check. If an administrator already exists, use sign-in after the redirect.
On a new installation, fill Name, Email, Password and Confirm password. The password must have at least six characters and confirmation must match.
Use the eye icon to show or hide both password fields.
Select Create admin account and wait. On error, read the message and correct fields or connection before retrying.
Check your result
When creation succeeds, the screen goes to sign-in; it does not automatically start a session.
What you need to know
- The server rejects Setup when an administrator already exists. It is not the flow for adding members or recovering access.
- A failed initial check can leave the form visible without confirming setup is needed; the final server validation still applies.
