Understand Page ID and Access Token in the channel editor

Record fields do not replace Meta-authorized reconnection.

Before you start

  • Have access to Channels. Editing records requires a role other than read-only.

Step by step

  1. Open an Instagram or Facebook channel’s pencil. Locate Page ID and Access Token.

  2. The eye beside Access Token shows or hides the value. Do not share this content.

  3. If you need to correct the record, edit the fields and click Save; reopen it to check. Cancel leaves without saving.

  4. To renew connection access, use Reconnect on the card and complete Meta authorization as described in the social reconnection guide.

Check your result

Record fields do not replace Meta-authorized reconnection.

What you need to know

  • Saving these fields changes the channel record; it does not automatically replace the credential used by the connection or prove that the channel reconnected.
