Connect using a phone pairing code

Step by step

   In the connection dialog, choose Número de telefone (phone number); in details, use Connect with number.

   Enter the full country and area code using digits only, such as 5511999999999.

   Click Generate code.

   On the phone’s WhatsApp, open Linked devices > Link a device > Link with phone number.

   Enter the displayed code and wait for confirmation.

   In instance details, select Cancel on the phone form to leave this option without generating a code.

   In Instances dialogs, QR Code returns to camera scanning; Número de telefone (Phone number) switches to the code. Closing with X, Escape or outside does not delete an instance already created.

What you need to know

• The Número de telefone tab is currently Portuguese even with the English interface.
• If the number is already paired, the existing session was kept; wait for it to resume.
• In details, the displayed code has no renewal button or expiration notice. To restart, reopen Connect with number, check the phone and generate another code.
• In the Instances dialog, the field is not automatically filled and must contain at least ten digits. The displayed code has no renew button or expiry countdown; reopen the option and recheck the number if you need another.
