Generate a public connection link

The recipient can perform only the actions enabled for that connection.

Before you start

  • Sign in with access to the page and instance. Changes require a role other than read-only.

Step by step

  1. In Instances, click Public Link on a QR number’s card.

  2. Set Access password if you want password protection.

  3. Under Permissions, choose Allow connect/reconnect and separately Allow disconnect.

  4. Optionally set the expiration date and time.

  5. Click Generate Public Link and copy the generated address.

  6. The eye shows or hides the password before generation. Once generated, use the copy button beside the address; the address field is read-only.

  7. Close with X, Escape or outside the dialog when finished. Closing does not revoke existing links. Check permissions and expiry before each new generation.

Check your result

The recipient can perform only the actions enabled for that connection.

What you need to know

  • Anyone with the address and password, if set, can use the link’s permissions without a panel account.
  • Manually created links are not configured as single-use in current code. Temporary automatic reconnection links may deactivate after connection.
  • Password is optional; leaving the field empty creates a passwordless link. The field’s hint should not be treated as minimum-length validation.
