Request a Cloud API display-name change
A display-name request is submitted for Meta review.
Before you start
- Sign in with access to the page and number. Changes require a role other than read-only.
- Team members also need access to the Cloud Templates page to make this change, even when starting from instance details.
Step by step
Open Profile in the number’s details.
Under Display name, enter the new name.
Click Request change.
Monitor the Under Meta review notice and wait for its outcome before requesting another change.

A display-name request is submitted for Meta review.
What you need to know
- The name does not change immediately: approval is required. The form accepts 3–75 characters and blocks a new request during review.
- For coexistence, the page directs you to change the name in the Business app.
- A name matching the current name does not enable Request change. To check progress again, reopen the Profile tab; the screen does not promise an instant review update.
