Use a public link to connect with QR

The number is paired using the permission granted by the link.

Before you start

  • Have a valid public link supplied by the person responsible for the number, with permission to connect, and the link password if one was set. Signing in to a OneWhats account is not required.
  • Have access to the number’s WhatsApp on your phone to scan the QR.

Step by step

  1. Open the link supplied by the number’s owner.

  2. If prompted, enter the link password. Use the eye icon to show or hide it, then click Access; Enter also submits the form.

  3. Check the instance and click Connect.

  4. Scan the QR from the number’s WhatsApp under Linked devices.

  5. If the QR expires, use Generate a new one and wait for connection confirmation.

  6. If the QR area reports a failure, select Retry and wait for a new code.

What you need to know

  • An expired or revoked link must be replaced by the owner.
  • Disconnect is shown only when that permission was granted and the connection allows the action.
  • A password-free link opens directly. After entering a password, this browser may remember access for up to 24 hours; an expired session requires the password again. This does not extend the link’s own validity.
  • Status is checked automatically. Reloading while pairing waits for a QR makes the page try to restore it. Temporary notification links are consumed on the first connection; manually created links do not automatically follow that rule.
  • An invalid link may keep a disconnected appearance without showing the reason. If it does not open or progress, ask the responsible person to check that it is still active; the card alone does not prove the link is valid.
