Mute or unmute conversation notifications

Step by step

   Open the conversation and its header options menu.

   Choose Mute to stop notifications for this conversation.

3. 3

   To receive notifications again, open the same menu and unmute.

What you need to know

• Muting notifications does not block the contact or delete messages. Receiving notifications also depends on other notification settings.
• The Silenced blocking mode in the blocked list is a different mechanism that prevents messages entering the system.
