Start a conversation with a WhatsApp number
An existing contact opens or a new conversation is ready for its first message.
Before you start
- A connected WhatsApp number available to your account.
Step by step
In Chat or Hub, click the new conversation + button.
Choose the sending number when more than one is available.
Enter the phone with its area code. For a foreign number, use + and the country code.
Check the phone preview and click to start.
Review the opened conversation and write the first message.
Check your result
An existing contact opens or a new conversation is ready for its first message.
What you need to know
- For QR connections, the system checks whether the number uses WhatsApp. A failed check does not mean the contact does not exist.
- Opening the conversation does not send a message. A new contact enters the actual history after the first send.
- After entering the number, Enter also starts validation and opening. Use Cancel to leave without opening another conversation.
