Record, pause or cancel a voice message
You send one recording or discard it before sending.
Before you start
- An available microphone and a conversation whose connection can send media.
Step by step
With the conversation open and the field empty, click the microphone.
Allow microphone access in the browser and watch the recording timer.
If the pause control is available, pause and resume the same recording.
Click Send to finish and send the audio, or X to cancel without sending.
Check your result
You send one recording or discard it before sending.
What you need to know
- Send ends the recording and starts sending; it does not open a playback review step.
- Pausing depends on browser support. If recording does not start, check microphone permission.
- The app tries to keep the screen awake during recording; behavior depends on the device.
